This article is devoted the analysis of various treatments of the content of concepts «denotation» and «reference» in the theory of sign systems. On the basis of the analysis the onclusion that the theory of reference by H. Putnam, the theory of «language games» by L. Wittgenstein and Ch. Peirce's semiotics, despite all methodological distinctions, as a whole is similar becomes treat concepts of denotation and reference aspiring to overcome in them a «mentalist» element.Denotation of a sign is interpreted as a way of its use and interpretation.
Данная статья посвящена анализу различных трактовок содержания понятий «значение» и «референция» в теории знаковых систем. На основании анализа делается вывод о том, что теория референции Х. Патнэма, теория «языковых игр» Л. Витгенштейна и семиотика Ч. Пирса, несмотря на все методологические различия, в целом схоже трактуют понятия значения и референции, стремясь преодолеть в них «менталистский» элемент. Значение знака толкуется как способ его употребления и интерпретации
