Abstract:
В статье представлены результаты этимологического и лексикографического анализа имен концепта HAPPINESS и антиконцепта UNHAPPINESS, которые позволили реконструировать содержание элементов данной концептуальной оппозиции, а также проследить их эволюцию. Исследование также содержит результаты сопоставительного количественного анализа вербальных репрезентаций концепта и антиконцепта в американском политическом дискурсе и художественных текстах.

This paper presents the results of an etymological and lexicographic analysis of the names of the concept HAPPINESS and the anticoncept UNHAPPINESS, which allows us to reconstruct the contents of the elements of this conceptual opposition and to trace their evolution. The article contains the results of a comparative analysis of verbal representations of the concepts HAPPINESS and UNHAPPINESS in American political discourse and belles-letters.
