Abstract:
Description:
The article presents the description of some peculiarities of communicative organization of spontaneous discourse in Russian and in French: decondensation of the preamble and exclusive focalization «focus + postfocus». Exclusive focalisation «focus + postfocus» has different intonational and syntactic properties in Russian and in French: Russian has no syntactic construction equivalent to c’est…qui/que in French, and focalisation is characterized by a shift of the pitch accent to the focused component occupying the sentence initial position. Nevertheless, both languages have common intonational properties, namely: the focalised syllable is marked by intensity increase, and the postfocus is accompanied by a sharp fall of melody and low pitch up to the end of the utterance.
